**Learning @ Logic** Fissure sealants
Want to protect your childs developing adult molars from tooth decay??
The first adult molars erupt in a childs mouth around the age of 6-7. Molars have an anatomical feature known as fissures located on the biting surface of the tooth. In most cases these fissures are quite deep and difficult to clean, allowing bacteria to flourish and develop into a cavity.
To prevent molar cavities, a Fissure Sealant is a plastic coating that is allowed to flow into the fissures, creating a barrier against oral bacteria.
With the school holidays around the corner, this is a perfect opportunity to bring your kids in for their check-up, clean & fissure seals!!!
